Happy Turkey Day!!
Happy Thanksgiving everybody. I am thankful for a lot of things. My family, friends, colleagues, classmates, and working on Thanksgiving. That's right, I am at work. It's ok though, I have great co-workers and we have just been chillaxin between shows. My colleague Tiffany even brought me food. She is really nice.
I am going home to see my nephews, Isaiah (10) and Kingston (3 months) when I get off work tonight. It's a 4 hour drive, but it's worth it.
See you later!!

I Have Been Very Very Busy
Hello blogosphere. It's been awhile since I have blogged, but I have an legitimate excuse. I having been maintaining our web site on a full-time basis by myself. It is a very time consuming job. I am also on the computer all day, so when I don't have to be on it I stay away from it.
The job is fun though. I did not know how to do all of the functions that maintaining our website required when I took on the web duties, but now I can do everything, well almost everything.
I have also been in school this summer, that was not fun. I was up at least three days a week at 5:45 a.m. running, I had to be in class at 7:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., work from 12:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and then I had to come home and study. I was very tired. Thank God that's over.
I did get to chill out on the weekends though. No work, no school. It was great.
On another note, my co-worker Lisa Washington was given the chance (and she took it) to skydive with the U.S. Army's Golden Knights. I have been wanting to go skydiving for a very long while and she got the chance. The reason I am telling you this is because we were suppose to go skydiving in August and she chose the Golden Knight's over me. I really don't blame her though. They are the best. She did have a very good time. I just have to find a new skydiving partner.
Check our new blogger Becky Banaszak. Here blog is titled Wild by Nature. Check her out she is a very fun and funny person.

"Speed Racer" Review
Born to race, Speed Racer (Emile Hirsch) is an aggressive driver. His main goal is to win the 'Crucible', a cross-country race that took the life of his older brother, Rex Racer.
Speed shows his loyalty to his family's racing business when he turns down an intriguing offer from Royalton Industries, a racing sponsor. In retaliation, Royalton Industries' owner (Roger Allam) threatens to shut down Speed Racer's family business Speed teams up with his girlfriend, Trixie (Christina Ricci), and his rival, Racer X (Matthew Fox), in his attempt to win the 'Crucible' and to save his family business along with the integrity of racing.
Speed Racer is filled with high-octane special effects, but drags across the finish line. Simply put, the movie is way too long. The PG rating makes it suitable for children. But, we all know kids' attention spans are very short. I had to sit through a grueling two and a half hours and found it painful. I know my 10-year-old nephew would not suffer through it. It took way too long for the film to get to the action. It is supposed to be an action movie, but took 45 minutes to get back to the first race. For an action flick, it had way too much dialogue and not enough action. I am not familiar with the Speed Racer cartoon, but I am pretty sure there was not a whole lot of talking.
The directors of this movie are the Wachowski brothers, best known for The Matrix trilogies and I am very disappointed in their overall effort here.
I would rate this movie 1 pair of sunglasses only. The special effects give it a slight cool factor.
Total run time: 2 hours 26 minutes
Directed by: Larry and Andy Wachowski
Starring: Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, Matthew Fox, John Goodman

"Iron Man" Review
Total run time: 126 Minutes
Directed by: Jon Favreau
Starring: Robert Downey, Jr., Terrence Howard, Gwyneth Paltrow
Iron Man is funny, entertaining, and action packed. This movie is about a very wealthy guy, Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr,) who was captured in the middle east and is forced to build a very unique missile for terrorists, that he originally built for the United States government. Instead, Stark used his intelligence to build, what we know as Iron Man. The movie also stars Terrance Howard who plays the role of Jim "Rhodey" Rhodes, Stark's friend, who plays an US Air Force officer. Gwyneth Paltrow also plays a big role as Stark's assistant Pepper Potts.
The movie is a well developed plot-line and a well done action scenes. The writers and directors make it very clear for the audience to follow the creation of Iron Man. You know that Iron Man did not get created from outer space and Starks just did not wake up one day to become Iron Man, it took some trial and error. It also isn't your superhero and villain loves the same girl story. It involves greed and carelessness.
Overall, I would recommend this to anybody over the age of 18. The movie does have a small sexual scene in the beginning and a lot of violence. Iron Man is a movie that the guys would love, but I would definitely not rule the women out.

Iron Man was an all around great movie from start to finish, and watching it in the Prive' lounge at Monaco Pictures made it even better.
When walking into the Prive', I felt the whole VIP experience. The soft reclining leather seats, the enormous high definition movie screen, and the crystal clear surround sound made it a movie to remember.

CHEVY or Prowler
CHEVY OR PROWLER
Which one should I buy?
The Chevy Avalanche is very very cool. It has room for six people and has trunk space on the back. It has a V-8 engine, which means it burns a whole lot of gas. I have always wanted a truck especially one that has room for six.
The Chrysler Prowler is a very beautiful car. It has 17" rims on the front and 20" rims on the back. That is a very unique feature about the car. It is also a convertible and has a V-6 engine, that will save gas.
The price is the same and I really like them both. I just need help deciding.

Rev. Jeremiah Wright
I have had the privilege this whole weekend and the beginning of this week to listen to the outspoken Reverend Jeremiah Wright. He has said some real truthful things this weekend, but at the same time he has said some very ignorant things.
I totally agree with his speech about "different not meaning deficient". I get that that. People should not look down on anyone simply because they view religion or any other issues in different ways, they should just simply respect it and just do and believe in what they believe in.
The part about the government creating AIDS is just absurd to me. I believe that the US government is capable of alot of things but I don't believe that they would do that. I also don't believe that the US is responsible for the September 11 attacks. 9/11 has caused more harm than help, and I just don't believe our government would do that.
Wright is not a loyal friend either, or as Obama said "he is like an uncle". An uncle does not continue to run off at the mouth and hurt your chances of becoming the leader of the free world.
I hope the public really does not let the opinions of Wright affect their voting at the polls.

Very 1st Blog
Hello blogworld!! This is my first blog so I am going to begin by telling you a little about me. I am currently a senior at Alabama A & M University and I am majoring in Telecommunications. I am the only son of my wonderful mother and I am blessed to have a very stubborn older sister, a very annoying younger sister, and a very talkative younger brother. I love them all though. I wouldn't trade them for the world.
I have been working at WHNT for two years now, and it has been very very interesting. I love my job mainly because I never know what I am going to do or where I am going to be when I get there. I wear many hats at work, but it is very very fun.
Hopefully I am not like some of my coworkers (Lisa) and remember to update my blog. Thanks for your time.
